Snyder’s Lance is an American salty snack company whose brands include Snyder’s of Hanover, Kettle Brand, and Lance. Their products, including pretzels, crackers, and potato chips, are sold in retailers across North America. Snyder’s Lance partnered with 3 tier logic to launch their ‘Better Snack for Crunch Time’ gift with purchase promotion, exclusive to Save Mart locations in Northern California and Northern Nevada.

Strategy

3 tier logic used PLATFORM³ to create a microsite for Snyder’s Lance ‘Better Snack for Crunch Time’ gift with purchase promotion, leveraging the following modules:

  • Contests and Promotions

  • Purchase Receipt Validation

  • Data Capture & Analytics

When customers purchase $25 worth of participating Snyder’s Lance products at participating Save Marts, they are eligible to receive a $5 Save Mart physical gift card. Through the Purchase Receipt Validation technology on PLATFORM³, customers can validate their purchase by registering and uploading a picture of their receipt to the microsite. They can make more than one purchase and upload multiple receipts until they reach the $25 threshold. Once their purchase(s) have been validated, customers receive their physical gift cards via mail after the end of the promotion. 3 tier logic took care of the procurement and fulfillment of the physical Save Mart gift cards for Snyder’s Lance during this promotion.

Using 3 tier logic’s marketing software, PLATFORM³, Snyder’s Lance was able to collect valuable data to get insights on their consumers’ purchasing behavior over the duration of their promotion. The Data Capture & Analytics module provides information on consumers’ activity on the microsite, allowing Snyder’s Lance to use the data to make informed business decisions for driving sales and establishing brand loyalty.
