Sun-Rype: 75th Anniversary

Lassonde Industries Inc. is a Canadian agri-food company whose subsidiaries include Apple & Eve, Old Orchard Brands, and Sun-Rype Products Ltd. Sun-Rype is a Western Canadian food and beverage manufacturer best known for their fruit-based products like juices and beverages, snacks, and ciders and iced teas. Lassonde partnered with 3 tier logic to launch their national ‘Sun-Rype 75th Anniversary Sweepstakes’ program, exclusive to Canadian consumers and qualifying Sun-Rype products.

Strategy

3 tier logic used PLATFORM³ to create a skinny microsite for Lassonde’s ‘Sun-Rype 75th Anniversary Sweepstakes’ promotion, leveraging the following modules:

  • Contests and Promotions

  • Purchase Receipt Validation

  • Gift Cards & Rewards

  • Data Capture & Analytics

When consumers purchase $7.50 worth of qualifying Sun-Rype products in one transaction from participating retailers, they are eligible to receive a sweepstakes entry for a chance to win a grand prize of $10,000, provided in four $2,500 digital Visa gift cards. Through the Purchase Receipt Validation technology on PLATFORM³, customers can validate their purchase by registering and uploading a picture of their receipt to the promotion microsite. Once their purchase has been validated, consumers receive an email confirming their sweepstakes entry. Consumers were allowed to submit multiple receipts over the course of the promotion. They were also given a no purchase entry (AMOE) option in which they were to submit a short essay for eligibility instead. 3 tier logic generated a random draw to select the sweepstakes winner and procured and fulfilled the prize.

With 3 tier logic’s marketing software, PLATFORM³, Lassonde was able to collect valuable information about their consumers’ purchasing behavior. The Data Capture & Analytics module provides insights into users’ microsite activity for the duration of the promotion. Lassonde is able to use this data to make informed business decisions and continue driving sales, engagement, and customer loyalty.
